My daughter is beautiful inside and out. She does not think of herself more highly than she ought to think, but she thinks with sober judgment according to the measure of faith God has assigned. She does nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility counts others more significant than herself. She is a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of her God. She loves the Lord her God with all her heart, all her soul, all her mind, and all her strength. She makes her boast in the Lord. She obeys God rather than men. Her purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of her heart. She presents her body as a living sacrifice, holy an acceptable to God, which is her spiritual worship. She does not follow the crowd in doing wrong. She has good friends who love her and want only the best for her. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
My daughter walks by the spirit and does not fulfill the lust of the flesh. The son has made her free, and she is free indeed. She is daily a new creature. Old things have passed away; behold all things are become new. She submits to God, resists the devil, and he flees from her. She is willing and obedient to the will of the Lord, her parents, an those in authority, and she shall eat the good of the land.
My daughter is wise – she hears and increases in learning; she understands and obtains guidance. Surely goodness and mercy follows her all the days of her life, and she shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. She finishes doing things well, so that her readiness in desiring a thing is matched by her completing it out of what she has. She can do all things through Christ who strengthens her. She does all things without grumbling or questioning, that she may be blameless and innocent, a child of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom she shines as a light in the world.
