John 14:5 – But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things.  And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

So, who is the Holy Spirit to you?

First, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, and the Spirit of Christ.  He represents God here on the earth.  He is God.  He is Lord.

Many people try to understand the Father, Son and Holy Spirit relationship, and they sometimes confuse it.  According to our bible, God is One in 3 different personalities.  He’s the Father (soul), the Son (flesh), and the Holy Spirit (spirit).  Just as we are also one in His image.  We are spirit, soul and body.  We are reflections of God on the earth.

God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) made man in His image, which explains why we’re also in 3 parts, yet ONE!

Jesus promised that His Spirit would come once He left the earth after His crucifixion.  Jesus walked with the Holy Spirit.  However, at all times the Father, Son and Spirit were still working together.

Acts 10:38 – How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

This simply reveals how all three persons were working together on earth.  But, His plan has always been to work with His creation which is made in His image.

Do you know the Holy Spirit?

Did you know that God had a plan for you to come to know Him through His Spirit?

Stick around for the next few weeks as we delve into this study of the Holy Spirit.
