Gift Or Character?

Many times we think our gifts are more important than anything else. Yes, a man's gift will make room for him, but God values your character development above all. Those who lack character, regardless of gift cluster, can never stay relevant long enough to make a difference at a local, national or global level. Ask Joseph who became second in command to Pharaoh. He had the gift of administration and everywhere he went he became second in command, even in prison. However, there was a timing to his gift, and once his character was developed enough he rose to second in power in Egypt. Notice how God allowed him to mature in character before bringing him to the greatest nation on earth to rule under Pharaoh.
