On Day 2 of my Daniel Fast I have this one question:
How come when you start a fast, suddenly you find all kinds of foods that are not supposed to be part of your diet? Or your clients want to take you out to lunch or make a run to Dunkin Donuts? I don’t know, but I think our flesh has a way of reacting when we try to mortify it
The morning started with a rude alarm from my phone waking me up at 5:55am. I quickly drank a large cup of water from my nightstand and started praying and praising the Lord. I went on like this for a good 30 minutes or so. Then it was time to read through my 1-year bible plan.
Got up, did the usual stuff including showering, but first started with some carrot-apple-celery juice, after taking a spoon of Mrs Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar. Later on I had some green smoothie using Quinoa milk. Lunch and dinner were simply some maize with bean sauce. Good stuff! Drank plenty of water (at least 3 cups – well, that’s not quite enough), and did some pushups for exercise, and stayed up late again to do some business training.
